and director Arindam Sil feels this is by far the best Byomkesh avatar he has created given the craze surrounding the Satyanweshi.

“I believe this has to be my best-looking Byomkesh. I can assure you Abir will definitely be mobbed on public places after ‘Byomkesh Gowtro’. It’s also true his fan base is really increasing day by the day. His Byomkesh look is quite handsome here. As per the film’s story, the main part of the novel is the same. Many characters in the original story are punched in one page! But I am making a film, I have to build the characters with their past and present giving the right story angle. That’s why I took those liberties and I feel I haven’t done a bad job so far,” explained the acclaimed director.

While Abir plays the charismatic sleuth, ‘Satyabati’s character will be reprised by Sohini Sarkar. However, Rahul Banerjee has replaced Ritwick Chakraborty for the role of Ajit, Byomkesh’s sidekick. Rest of the cast includes Priyanka Sarkar, Anjan Dutt, Arjun Chakraborty, Indrashish Roy, Anindita Bose, Joydip Kundu and many others.
