museum

at the iconic filmmaker’s house. Sen breathed his last a few days ago at his Padmapukur residence at the age of 95.

’ director was known as a Leftist sympathiser but he always kept safe distance from any political campaigns. IPTA, we all know, represents the cultural wing of the Communist Party of India.

revealed recently Mrinal Sen’s house stores so many precious film scripts, books, props and other memorabilia. The iconic filmmaker used these in his films and these artifacts have to be preserved in a memorial museum in his house. However, the final decision rests upon the filmmaker’s son Kunal Sen.

Apoart from this, IPTA will also organize a commemorative meeting for Mrinal Sen which will be attended by a number of celebrities from the film, music, and theatre fraternity of Bengal and beyond.
