After wrapping up the shoots of his next film, Parcel, Indrasis Acharya has taken a break. The filmmaker is travelling to Himachal Pradesh with his family. “I am in Dalhousie right now. We just came from Dharamshala and is on our way to McLeod Ganj and Khajjiar. We started our journey on May 24. It’s good fun,” said Indrasis.
Indrasis’s next feature, Parcel, features Rituparna Sengupta, Sreela Majumder and
Saswata Chatterjee among others.
While the shooting of the film is over, the post production works are still on. “We are working on colour correction, graphics and final mixing. It will be over as soon as I get back,” Indrasis said.
The shooting of Parcel started in January. While the first phase took place between January 5 and 14, the second phase took place in March. The film might get released later this year. “My plan is to take this film to festivals before it hits the theatres,” the director said.
The music of the film is being composed by
Joy Sarkar and that process is also on its last lap. While talking about the composition, Indrasis said, “I leave that to Joy. We have been working together for a while now and he understands what I want. He is doing really well with this one too.”
Earlier, Joy made the two lead actresses Rituparna and Sreela record two songs for the film. While Rituparna sang a popular folk song, Brindabono Bilashini, Sreela rendered a Rabindrasangeet, Amar Raat Pohalo Sharodoprate.
