Indranil Banerjee’s lockdown short ‘Hakchhoooo’ tries to show the bigger picture

Indranil Banerjee’s lockdown short film ‘Hakchhoooo’ talks about a socially relevant subject, especially in this testing time. Starring Sounak Ray, Debopriya Chakraborty, Rajib Biswas, Sudip Biswas, Arko Bhattacharya, Tuhin Dasgupta, Deboshmita Chakraborty and Pradip Maity in key roles, it has been produced by Indranil himself. The film sheds light on the crisis of a family stuck in the nationwide lockdown and the mental battle the family members are fighting.
In the humorous short film, one of the family members is about go out to buy essentials from a nearby market. Just before leaving he sneezes, and it sets off a wave of panic among his family members. Since sneezing and coughing are among the primary symptoms of the novel coronavirus disease, the family now suspects the member has contracted the virus. ‘Hakchhoooo’ slowly reveals how the family gets over its misconceptions and rides through the panic.
