Indraadip’s Puja plans revealed!

Indraadip Dasgupta has had a busy year so far. The composer-turned-director’s debut film, Kedara, got the Special Jury Award at the

National Film Awards

this year. Not one to sit on his laurels, Indraadip began shooting his second directorial, Agantuk, about a month back and has already completed the same. The film stars Sohini Sarkar and Abir Chatterjee in the lead. Up next is Bismillah with Kaushik Ganguly and Riddhi Sen. Kaushik also plays the protagonist in Kedara, the trailer and poster of which was released recently. Meanwhile, his film as a composer — Srijit Mukherji’s Gumnaami — has already hit the screens. In between all the work, the brief Puja holiday is set to bring him a breather. Talking about his Puja plans, Indraadip told us, “I like to be home on the most part of Puja. My sister is here and I will be accompanying her to the pandals. Apart from that, there will be adda with friends. I generally go to a south Kolkata theatre with my friends and it’s a lot of fun. Also, on one of the Puja days, I go to Ballygunge Cultural to indulge in some balloon shooting. That’s a must for me every year.” Indraadip said he also looks forward to eating his favourite dishes all through Puja. “What I like the most is thakurer banano mangsho-bhaat. Nothing comes in comparison to this all-time Bengali favourite,” he said. After Puja, Indraadip will start promoting Kedara, which is set for a winter release and also begin shooting for Bismillah.
