Indira Dhar Mukkherjee’s film to be screened at the MIFF

and Sharmila Sen will be screened at the prestigious 17th Mumbai International Film Festival by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of Maharashtra. The film is written and directed by

Indira Dhar Mukherjee

, and percussionist Bickram Ghosh has composed the music. And the film is edited by Shuvro Roy. “It is indeed a moment of happiness for all of us as a film shot and made in Kolkata,” said Indira. Indira’s other film The Green Window was screened at 27th KIFF and also won a Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival special jury mention award this year.

The film is dedicated to all those women, who have been unable to chase their passions for whatever reasons. Especially, people who are into creative fields, like a dancer or an actor often gives up on their passion after marriage. The film Soch talks about a dancer who who faces similar situation is life. The short film tends to motivate all such people to pursue their passion regardless of their age.
