Indecent pics sent from Sreelekha Mitra’s fake Instagram account, actress shares screenshot

Creating fake social media profiles of celebrities is nothing new. There have been so many instances of fake profiles of actors in the past and the list includes some of the top names from Tollywood including Saswata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Raj Chakraborty and the list goes on. Now, actor Sreelekha Mitra is the latest addition to this list. What irks Sreelekha more is the fact that illicit pictures are being sent to the followers from her fake Instagram account.

The actor-turned-director took to her Facebook handle to make people aware of the fake account and she even posted a screenshot of the fake Instagram account. “Someone is calling my followers from this fake account and sending illicit pictures. Please report this account immediately. Someone is trying to malign my image,” the actress wrote along with the screenshot.

These days, just as how imposter celeb accounts sprout on social media, many Tollywood stars too encounter their fake profiles often, online. Robbing their popular identities the tricksters resort to many things pesky, just as in the recent case of Sreelekha Mitra. Celebs have time and again insisted on how they tackle the menace, alongside warning the audience to ensure that they aren’t interacting with fraudsters hiding behind their names. The fake profiles have now made these stars extra cautious on social media.
