I'm overwhelmed on winning the National Award: Iman

The song that was on everyone's lips for the past one year, tumi jaake bhalobasho, has won India's highest accolade. Singer Iman Chakraborty is elated on winning the prestigious National Award for the best playback singer from Shiboprasad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy's Praktan, on Friday. When we reached her, she said, "I'm overwhelmed with the recognition. This is my first ever playback singer and I have won the National Award besides winning the Filmfare Award East as well.I am grateful to Shiboprasad Mukherjee, Nandita Roy and Anupam Roy for the opportunity."
Iman sang the female version of the song, Tumi jaake bhalobasho, composed by Anupam Roy.
