Director Anjan Das is a happy man. His son, Chandradeep, has made a short film that has won the Award of Merit at The Accolade Competition in California.
Says 22-year-old Chandradeep, 'I have worked with my dad in his last three feature films ' Achin Pakhi, Banshiwala and Bedeni in the capacity of an assistant. Besides this, I am currently doing my articled training of my Chartered Accountancy course at an audit firm.

I am also doing the company secretaryship course.'
Film-making is Chandradeep's passion and the short film that has won his the accolade is titled Disarray. 'I began shooting in late 2010. Due to exams and some problems created by the lead actors, the film was eventually wrapped up in May 2012. The running time of the film is 28 minutes. Apart from this award in California, the film has also been selected at the Bangalore Shorts Film Festival.'
Talking about the film, Anjan, says, 'Chandradeep's film is about obsession with love. It feels great that he has bagged an international award at the age of 22. I am a proud father and am somewhere envious of him too.'
Shooting of Anjan's next film, Life In Zero, will begin from August 1.
