I’ll miss sindoor khela, anjali this time: Rituparna

Now that Durga Puja is just round the corner, Rituparna Sengupta is already missing the festival big time. In a video inviting readers to the Pujor Adda with Calcutta Times contest, she reveals what’s making her homesick. “I am in Singapore and there’s no Puja here this year. So, I’m feeling even more nostalgic. Durga Puja in Kolkata has its own charm. My heart is in Kolkata at the moment.This year, I will really miss sindoor khela, offering anjali at pandals, wearing new saris, having bhog, meeting friends — and the list goes on. I know we are going through difficult times, but Durga Puja holds a special place in every Bengali’s heart. We have to have Puja in our lives, as this is one festival we all look forward to every year. Ma Durga gives us the strength to fight all odds. Hope she gives us the power to eradicate every evil force this year too,” said the actress.
