Ike is my special friend: Parambrata

On Thursday evening, ParambrataChattopadhyay and Ike Schouten attended the premiere of Atanu Ghosh���������ssecond feature film. Ike, incidentally, is a doctor and comes from Netherlands.Ask Param how he introduces her and he says, ���������She is a specialfriend.��������� The duo met in Bristol where Param had gone to do a Masters inFilm and Television Production.But how did Ike follow a Bengali filmwithout any subtitles? Did the fact that the film was about a doctor make thingsany easy for her? ���������No. She viewed it as any ordinary person. I had to giveher an idea on what the film is about. The rest, she understoodherself.���������And what about her perception of Param as a directorand an actor? Has she watched any of Param���������s films? ���������When we hadfirst met in Bristol, I was carrying a DVD of my film. She watched the filmthere. Back then, she didn���������t know much about Kolkata. After she came downto Kolkata, she got a better idea about this city and appreciated it a lot more.Ike is a big Ray fan.
