I still can’t get over Abhishek Chatterjee’s untimely demise: Ambarish

Actor Ambarish Bhattacharya is eagerly awaiting the release of several of his films. The actor said that there are around 10 films that were shelved due to the lockdown and it is almost time for the projects to release. “There are two films by

Koushik Ganguly

. I am eagerly waiting for

Lokkhi Chele

, which will release in June. Then there is

Kaberi Antardhan

,

Ardhangini

and Mayakumari. I am sure people would love my work in these projects,” he added.

Meanwhile, the actor, who is playing an important character in the mega serial

Khorkuto

, is often saddened by the sudden demise of his co-star Abhishek Chatterjee. “He was very senior to me and because of that, we were not like friends. He would start his day by offering prayers to the camera and was very serious about his work. I worked with him for more than two years,” Ambarish added.

The fact that Abhishek Chatterjee fell sick on the shooting floors and he never returned from the hospital, still haunts Ambarish. “Kunal Mitra died the same way on the sets, while working in

Raja Goja

, back in 2009. It’s really unfortunate,” he said.
