For actress
Ditipriya Roy,
Poila Boishakh
is one big event that she always celebrates with her family. “I may work on my birthday but I never keep any work assignment on Poila Boishakh. All our relatives come over to our place and we go out for lunch at a Bengali restaurant. We usually book a table for 20. The party continues on our terrace till midnight. We decorate the terrace with flowers and we wear ethnic clothes. We dance, sing and have loads of fun. Ma cooks dinner for us and the menu is fixed — pulao, chingrir malaikari and kosha manghso. My pishi makes aamer chutney and payesh. For the past two years, we couldn’t celebrate because of the COVID situation, so this year we all are looking forward to it. This time, we have planned to wear something in red and white,” said the actress.
On the work front,
Ditipriya
completed dubbing for three films — Achena Uttam,
Kolkata Cholontika
and
Ai Khuku Ai
. “At present, I am shooting for
Aditya Sengupta’s film opposite
Vikram Chatterjee. I am part of a few web series too,” said Ditipriya.
