I might cast a Kolkata girl: Shoojit Sircar

In town, Shoojit Sircar says his next is a love story between a Punjabi boy and a Bengali girl, set in Delhi
During his recent visit to Ajmer, Amitabh Bachchan had mentioned in an interview to a private channel that if actors were not supposed to get married or have babies while doing a film, it would be imperative of producers to also mention in their contract how long they would take to finish and release a movie.In this context, he had mentioned the case of a movie ��������� ���������Shoebite��������� ��������� that had long been made but hasn���������t yet seen the light of day despite he and the director having put in so much of effort in making the movie. Incidentally, the director of the movie, Shoojit Sircar, was in town in Kolkata on Tuesday.
Ask Shoojit what���������s the status of his Bachchan-starrer and he says, ���������I have finished work on the movie. The release date is a call my producers will take.��������� Shoojit, who is the creative producer of Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury���������s ���������Aparajita Tumi��������� , is in town to finalize certain details about the shooting of this film in the US. ���������It���������s an expensive Bengali movie. Though I am the producer, Tony (Aniruddha) and I keep discussing stuff,��������� he says.
Shoojit adds, ���������I am very excited with the way Shantanu Moitra���������s music has shaped up. I will be leaving for the US at the end of the week.���������
Come September and Shoojit will begin directing his next Hindi movie. ���������This is an untitled project that is set in Delhi. It���������s a love story of a Punjabi boy and Bengali girl. The girl is from Delhi���������s CR Park. As for the cast, I have finalized the former RJ-turned-VJ-cumanchor Ayushmann Khurrana,��������� he adds. As for the female lead, Shoojit is auditioning for actors. ���������I am auditioning both new faces as well as established actors from Tollywood. I am figuring out whether to cast Kharaj Mukherjee or Paran Bandopadhyay in the role of the girl���������s father.���������
Says Ayushmann, ���������This is my Bollywood debut. I���������ve been waiting for the right movie to take the plunge. Shoojitda is a very credible director and I loved his ���������Yahaan��������� . We will be going on the floors after I complete ���������Just Dance��������� . That will be the third week of September. I am playing a guy from Lajpat Nagar. While I speak Punjabi very well, we are looking for a girl who is very fluent in Bengali and Hindi.���������
