There has been a lot of noise over why Atanu Ghosh's 'Angshumaner Chhobi' got overlooked at this year's National Awards. But the director remains unperturbed. 'I feel 'AC' has got much more than what it deserved. It got me and my actors 14 important awards. One can check out the list in the film's DVD. Besides, it got rave reviews and a lot of appreciation from the general audience.
I recently read Anjan Das' comment on the films making it to the Indian Panorama. I think he missed out on the fact that 'AC' had been selected for the Indian Panorama last year. After all this, I had no great expectations left in me to crave for the National Award. I honour the verdict of the jury,' says Atanu. 'Takhan Teish' is just ready for being sent to film festivals. 'I think, it will release on January 21,' the director signs off.
