Enforcement Directorate, on Friday, questioned Tollywood superstar
Prosenjit Chatterjee for almost six hours in connection with the ongoing investigation on the Rose Valley
chit fund scam. His co-actor
Rituparna Sengupta was also interrogated by the central agency a day before.
According industry sources, ED had summoned both the actors to find out some key information on financial transactions between their companies and the Rose Valley group.
“I have provided them with all the details they wanted. They had sent summons to my company, and I have always said I am ready to cooperate,” a confident prosenjit Chatterjee said after the interrogation.
This is the first time that the Tolly star has been questioned since the chit fund scam was exposed in 2013.
ED had reportedly received documents which revealed certain transactions were carried out between the Rose Valley group and Prosenjit’s company and the ED officials sought clarification on the same. It is believed Enforcement Directorate questioned Prosenjit about a reported Rs 2.75 crore fund received by his production company Nideas Creation from the Rose Valley group between 2010-11.
