I had splurged on a diamond ring with my first pay cheque: Raima Sen

They say, first jewellery purchase, like first love, is unforgettable. No matter how small and flimsy our first buy is, it shines brighter than the diamonds and other precious stones we go on to buy later in our lives. On Dhanteras, we ask our Tolly stars to share their moments of first jewellery purchase. While some bought diamond rings for themselves, some gifted gold to their loved ones.This festive season, Raima Sen opens their first jewellery box and get reminiscing.
"With my first pay cheque that I got for my debut film, Godmother, I had bought a beautiful diamond ring. The joy and a certain sense of achievement it brought to me remain unmatched to this very day. I have bought many expensive jewellery and gadgets over the years but the feeling that the first purchase evoked in me will be etched on my mind forever. I still remember how happy and proud my parents were when I showed them the ring. I hardly wear it now but I’ve kept it safe as it is one of my most precious possessions," said Raima.
