I felt confident after shooting for a project on my own: Sauraseni Maitra

Sauraseni Maitra feels that the

lockdown

due to this pandemic has turned out to be both good and bad for everyone. “Of course, the pandemic has affected all of us badly in many ways but it has also taught us to be self-sufficient. Initially, I was staying in my new flat that I bought a year back. So, I had to do everything on my own — be it cooking, cleaning, shopping or washing dishes, I did it all. Necessity teaches you everything. Who knew I’d have to shoot from home and handle the camera too! After those scenes were approved, I felt so confident about my sense of framing.”

The model-actress is an optimist and always tries to focus on the positive side of any situation. “During this lockdown, I got reconnected to two of my school friends after ages through

social media

. One is Samopriya, who lives in Canada now after her marriage and the other is Sampriti, who lives in Kolkata. This was also a bonus. I have a group of five close friends – Madhurima, Saptarshi, Salini, Debjani, and Upasana (she stays in Belgium) and we plan to have an adda on my terrace, where Sampriti will also join. So it’s a kind of school reunion for us, where Upasana will be present virtually through video call,” said Sauraseni.
