'I can't kiss Indraneil on-screen'

Barkha Bisht Sengupta is very keen to make her Bengali film debut. Though she shoots round the clock for the serial ' Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai ' Barkha does keep track of hubby dearest's career in Tollywood.
Says the actor, 'I am very keen on doing Bengali films. My husband has been so actively involved in Tollywood. It's so nice to see the kind of movies Nil is doing. Bengali cinema is opening up to a lot of creative endeavours.And I think Nil is blessed to be a part of such a diverse range of projects. From Autograph to Bedeni to Jodi Ekdin, the range is so vast. As his spouse, I'm very happy with the way his career is going now. Nil has played a bisexual on-screen and I'm fine with his choice of roles.'
As for her own Tollywood career, Barkha is more interested in hardcore commercial Bengali cinema. 'I'm more of the song-and-dance kind and I like the whole feel of commercial cinema. It would be great if I could make a Tollywood debut with Nil as my co-star. I've a slight language barrier. If Nil is my co-star, he will be a lot more patient with me. That, I'm sure, will help me perform better. During the making of JE, I had interacted with Riingo and we had spoken about doing a film. Let's see how things work out.'
But Barkha has a clause. Item numbers are fine but she doesn't want to do a lip-lock on-screen. 'Item numbers are fine since I like dancing. But I don't like sleaze. A Kajra Re would do fine for me. I am uncomfortable with lip-locks on-screen. And this decision has nothing to do with Nil. I wouldn't be a hypocrite to kiss Nil on-screen and not my other co-stars. Nil too has certain reservations about what he doesn't want to do on-screen. He doesn't want to kiss on-screen and I wouldn't want to do it either. It's a shared understanding we have.'
