Indo-British director Sam Bhattacharjee talked to us about his British crossover film “Barun Rai And The House on The Cliff. The film that features Priyanshu Chatterjee and Nyra Banerjee and others was released last year.


Tell us about your experience of making a film that involves a team from multiple countries.

The experience was great. We never expected a release in india. It was well taken in Indian. We are now preparing for Barun Rai 2. The mix crew is a challenge but it worked in our case. All the cast and crew worked really hard to make it worth it. The challenges due to

Covid

with closed boundaries made a lot of decisions taken virtually on video calls. But finally the film is made and that is important.

I believe there are a lot of hidden talents in Bengal and Northeast India. I want to tap on that.

Kolkata is my hometown. Whenever I am here it gives me a nostalgic feeling.
