But yes, the film also operates on a realistic level with all the ingredients of a masala flick. Two parallel stories run through BB and ultimately merge at one level. Its actually a film within a film, said Anik. Does he believe in ghost in real life? I dont believe in ghosts but I am scared of them!
Ive had weird incidents in my life where my reasoning failed. In fact, a strange thing happened when Avik (Mukhopadhyay), the DOP of the film, my two assistants and I were travelling to Sreerampore on a rainy night to shoot for BB. There were no vehicles in close vicinity but suddenly, we saw a truck appear out of nowhere behind our car. And trust me, we saw Avik and Anik written on the face of the truck. Its weird that a truck drivers name would be Avik and Anik, the same as ours. We were numb and just after a second, the truck disappeared. Later, we joked that the truck drivers must be failed film-makers and that it was just a glimpse of our futures, smiled the director.
