Hype surrounding Prabhas and Pooja Hegde’s ‘Radhe Shyam’ touches Bengal

Shot in picturesque locations across Rome, ‘Radhe Shyam’ has been one of the most anticipated big-budget films. As the film finally releases in theatres today the craze surrounding the period piece is similar to the one we saw during Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ release last year.
It is also a crucial film for theatre owners who are still reeling from the impact of the pandemic.According to industry sources, amid the hype all over India ‘Radhe Shyam’ has managed to get around 220 shows across Bengal. This happened without any promotional activities in Bengal. It’s surely a great job by the distribution team. The number of shows proves pan-India star Prabhas has a decent fanbase even in Bengal as well. Also, with 'Radhe Shyam' Prabhas will be representing Indian Cinema on the world pedestal.
Interestingly, the last film of Prabhas, ‘Saaho’ had raked in a massive amount of 7.7 crores across Bengal despite receiving mixed reviews.

Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, ‘Radhe Shyam’ is being released in five languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The huge success of ‘Baahubali’ had catapulted Prabhas to pan-Indian stardom. Although his last film ‘Saaho’ was a big-budget film, it received mixed responses from critics. Now, all eyes are on ‘Radhe Shyam’ since it’s his comeback as a romantic hero after almost a decade.
'Radhe Shyam' narrates the story of Vikram Aditya, a palmist who is conflicted between destiny and his love for Prerana. The film, directed by KK Radha Krishna Kumar, is set to release in theatres on March 11.
