How will Gargee celebrate Bhai Phonta?

How will Gargee celebrate Bhai Phonta?
Gargee Roychoudhury had a lovely time with her close friends and family on Diwali. “My friends came over to our place. From evening, we started decorating the house with earthen diyas, aromatic candles and flowers. Then we did a photo session with diyas. Guess, who our photographer was? It was Kesto, who is our domestic help for more than 20 years,” said the actress.
What was even more exciting was that Gargee cooked for everyone yesterday.

“I made parantha and aloor dom as we have veg on Diwali. And after that, we had homemade sweets. My friend had prepared them. Diet took a backseat on Diwali and it will be so till Bhai Phonta,” she added.
Meanwhile, Gargee is busy today preparing for the Bhai Phonta celebrations. “My husband and his sister celebrates Bhai Phonta in a grand way from their childhood. After I got married, I try to make the day more special for them. On Monday, I bought the sari which my husband is going to gift to my sister-in-law and the shirt which he will gift to her husband. I also accompanied Kesto to the market in order to buy the fish and chicken. The preparations will start from tonight,” said the actress.
Every year, the menu of Bhai Phonta is decided by Gargee. “The menu is more or less same over the years. Rice, daal, alo postor bora, fish fry, alo posto, tel potol, bhetki macher jhol, kosha mangsho, chutney, payesh and rosogolla,” informed the actress, adding, “Every year on Bhai Phonta, I get a gift (mostly saris) too from my sister-in-law. This year, I think I will get a red dhakai.”
