is on cloud nine. Reason? Rotary International District 3291 conferred an award on Team Konttho in recognition of its Cinematic Excellence & Inspirational Message to Society, at a city five-star hotel on Sunday June 2, which was also the 24th day of the release of the Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy directed film. The story of the film revolves around Arjun Mallik, a popular RJ, who is not only famous but well-loved by his listeners. His listeners connect with him personally and his voice is music to their ears. However, his perfect life comes to an absolute halt when he is diagnosed with throat cancer. A story of hope, a story of friendship, a story of struggle, Konttho is about the indomitable human spirit. The award was handed over by District Governor 2019-20 Rtn Ajay Agarwal in their annual mega event District Training Assembly 2019 which was attended by 1,000 Rotarians including dignitaries from various fields. , Jimmy Tangree, Srijani Mukherjee, Tushar Debnath and Prashmita Paul. Nandita Roy also thanked Rotary, remarking that this was the very first recognition for Konttho. Other cast members also expressed their gratitude for the award.
