Abar Aranye was a sequel to the Satyajit Ray classic, Aranyer Din Ratri. The film revolves around what happens when characters of

age and decide to make a reminiscent trip to the forests of Palamau. “This film was shot in 2002 and was released in 2003. Still my memories from this outdoor shoot are vivid. We went to north Bengal and were there for a month for this film’s shoot. Life was much simpler that time and friendships used to be much purer. So, I guess that bonding is still there between us,” said the actress, adding, “After I posted this picture, Tabu, who played a pivotal role in the film, messaged me. She too became nostalgic and remembered those days. She is a gem of a person and it is she who keeps in touch with us. Whenever she comes to Kolkata, she is the one who visits our house with loads of gifts for my two daughters.”

Bidipta

worked with

Jisshu U Sengupta

in Aritra Mukherjee’s film Baba, Baby O after years. The actress plays a Parsi woman and Solanki’s mother. “In fact when I met Jisshu while shooting for Baba, Baby O we were talking about Abar Aranye, as nowadays such bonding among cast and crew hardly happens. It was in this outdoor shoot Jisshu suggested that we start a music band,” said Bipidta.
