Saswata Chatterjee (who plays
Shabor
Dasgupta) is happy that the fourth movie of the exhilarating
Shabor Dasgupta
is liked by the audience. The story revolves around a rainy night when
Sumit Ghoshal
(
Nigel Akkara), a taxi driver arrives at a police station with a passenger who had suddenly taken ill. The officer-in-charge inspects the person and found him dead which makes Sumit the prime suspect. The mysterious night finds ACP-DD Shabor Dasgupta and his accomplice, inspector
Nanda (Subhrajit Dutta) trying to solve the case. “As the story unfurls various suspects come up, making the murder more obscure. Shabor is thrown in the grey between crime and punishment and then the story unfolds,” said the actor.
Saswata is happy that Shabor is back with a bang with this film. “I am not much active on social media but
Arindam
showed me how the audience has written to him to bring Shabor back on screen. This shows the popularity and acceptance of the character. Shabor in this film is more mature. There is a comic element too in this humane story. Also, the dialogues play an important character in this film,” said Saswata, adding, “The dialogues between Shabor and Sumit are hard-hitting. The music too adds to the suspense element of the film.”
