It is impossible to make a film while maintaining
social distance
, feels
director Goutam Ghose
. “I guess we have to make animated or Cov-19 related films from now on if actors have to wear masks on sets. With human characters, it’s not possible to shoot while adhering to all Covid-related norms. And would we want to watch films on
coronavirus after this pandemic is over? No. We will want to see romantic films, more human stories, films on nature and feel-good movies that will heal our
mind
and soul,” he said.
When asked about his take on films releasing on
OTT
platforms, Ghose said, “If a film is made keeping
theatre release
in mind then I feel filmmakers should wait. But then, there are business strategies too. Theatres will open, but it will take time. Maybe their share of profit might go down. People will adjust to the new normal slowly. When a director makes a film, it is his vision which medium he is making the film for. And decisions have to be taken accordingly,” said Goutam.
