Gotro

’, post the huge success of ‘Konttho’, is certainly no different. The social drama recently completed 75 days at the box office.

The social drama has now added yet another feather to its cap. It will travel to London for a special screening at Safari Cinema on November 24.
‘Gotro’ is based on a social issue and tries to remind us of the importance of humanity over religion through a heart-warming story. After the 2011 film Icche, this is Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee's second film focusing on the mother-son relationship.

And it looks like, the film which released on August 23, has struck the right chord among the movie lovers. Not only the audience, but the Bengali film fraternity too is going gaga over ‘Gotro’s moving story.

Starring Anashua Majumdar, Nigel Akkara, Manali Manisha Dey, Kharaj Mukherjee in the lead, the film sees an elderly woman striking a unique bond with an ex-convict who is entrusted with taking care of her. It’s a heartwarming story of love, faith and redemption.
