’s popular story and ‘Goopi Gawaiya Bagha Bajaiya’ absorbs the spirit of Ray’s movie and detailing from the original story, and presents us a nice little animated movie focusing on so many big things like how love can trump hate, how the meek can conquer and how music unites all.
The film has sailed through the weekends among 24 releases without dropping a single show. Like vintage wine, the music of ‘Goopi Gawaiya Bagha Bajaiya’ has also managed to win hearts with a texture that is earthy, balanced and immersive at the same time.
Bankrolled by Children’s Film Society India collaborating with Karadi Tales, the animation film narrates a simple but layered story of two wise fools, a singer and a drummer who despite being inept are quite passionate about their music, and eventually become soul-mates.
