Mainak Bhaumik's ‘Generation Aami’ is slated to release on November 23. But interestingly, till now there’s hasn’t been any poster of the film on the walls of Kolkata. It’s a typical promotional approach for the film industry ahead of any release. ‘Generation Aami’ producers SVF have taken this unique initiative to make Kolkata look beautiful by saying no to the poster campaign on the walls of Kolkata.

The makers plan to reduce visual pollution in Kolkata along with giving a serious message against deforestation to make people aware of the dangers awaits in future. ‘Generation Aami’ keeps faith on the digital posters on social media. SVF also believes their latest initiative will inspire other production houses as well in future.
The slice-of-a-life drama weaves around the two central characters Apu (Rwitobroto Mukherjee) and his cousin Durga (Sauraseni Maitra). The film sees a 17-year-old teenager Apu’s relationship with his parents getting tested as he searches for teenage rebellion and fun with his cool 19-year-old cousin who gives him the courage to discover himself.
