thKolkata International Film Festival is looking forward to the release of his next.
“Though Sraboner Dhara deals with a serious issue, it tells the story in a simple way. That’s where the magic of this director duo remains. This is my fifth film with them and each time they have cast me in a different role.
After watching the film, people will learn to live life with vigor — irrespective of their age and the adversities they face in life. The film deals with the problems today’s generation faces as well as issues pertaining to the older generation. It also tells the story of people who take care of patients suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s and their emotional attachment to them,” explains Gargee while speaking about the film’s concept.
We get to see
Soumitra Chatterjee as an elderly history professor Amitabho, suffering from Alzheimer’s in the film and
Parambrata Chatterjee plays Nilabho, a young doctor while Gargee Roychowdhury essays the role of Soumitra’s wife.
Produced by Pradip Churiwal, the screenplay of ‘Sraboner Dhara’ is by Dr Suvendu Sen and Padmanabha Dasgupta. The film is eyeing a February 2020 release.
