Not just intimate scenes, but the complete process of

filmmaking

will throw a challenge to the film industry as it gears up to resume shoot. Tollywood, like others, is currently working on guidelines that address these challenges.

While many actors don’t want to comment on the issue as they are confused about what will happen, senior actor Sreelekha Mitra says it will definitely be a new challenge to filmmakers.

(Sengupta) has also expressed her concern from Singapore. We still don’t how long this coronavirus will stay. Suppose it stays for one year. Till then no films won’t have intimate scenes? That’s absurd. I think the actors have to be tested first to check if they have any symptoms of COVID-19. If ther’s no symptom, they can shot these scenes. But, I will also add story can be developed without intimate sequences. So, it will be a challenge to filmmakers to churn out unique ideas,” explained the seasoned actress.

Shooting intimate scenes without risking the health of the actors - the challenge has forced the movie makers to be skeptical about whether intimate scenes would be a thing of the past post-pandemic. Some are saying there should be a set of rules and processes that need to be maintained while filming such scenes.

The first question will be whether the actors will be ready to do such scenes? Even if there are guidelines it will be trial and error method.
