“I’ve long been waiting to shoot Kishmish. The wait has been painful and finally, we are doing it. The moment I heard the script I was so excited that I didn’t hesitate to say yes. I am also in love with the script from the core of my heart. It’s a rom-com with a fresh touch. It’s something I didn’t experience before. The story has got a young and vibrant feel and it’s so relatable. I wish the film touches the sweet spot of the audience's heart, just like the name kishmish says,” an excited Rukmini shared with ETimes.

Besides Dev and Rukmini, the cast also includes some of the big names of Tollywood such as Kharaj Mukherjee, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Anjana Basu, Lily Chakraborty and June Malia. If all goes according to plan, the Rahool Mukherjee directorial will have its theatrical release in winter this year.
