Filmmaker Dhrubo recovers from a fractured hand, to start shooting for his next
Director Dhrubo Banerjee fractured his hand on February 17. “This morning, the doctor opened the plaster and I feel so relieved! The doctor has said that the pain will be there for 3-4 days until the muscles get relaxed. Physiotherapy will start from tomorrow. I fractured my hand while trying to save my dog,” said the director who is busy with the look test of his next film Karna Subarna’er Guptodhon which stars Abir Chatterjee, Ishaa Saha, and Arjun Chakrabarty in the lead.

After Golondaaj, Dhrubo is bringing back the thrilling adventure of Sona da, Jhinuk and Abir in the third film of Guptodhon franchise, ‘Karna Subarna’er Guptodhon’. This time, Sona Da will be back on the silver screen for a dangerous quest to unearth one of the greatest treasures Bengal has ever known.
“I was about to start shooting from March but it got postponed as I fractured my left arm. Now we will start the shooting from the end of this month,” said Dhrubo. He added, “I have been continuously working for the past two years. I seriously need a vacation with my family after I finish the shoot of Karna Subarna’er Guptodhon.”
Dhrubo won the Joy Filmfare Awards Bangla 2021 for Best Screenplay (Golondaaj) this year. “This is my first Filmfare award and it feels great,” said the director with a smile.
