Rashed Rahman

who is making his debut with ‘Paintings In The Dark’ plays the titular character of the blind painter and for him it’s a dream role to portray, that too in his first film. “Every actor has a dream role in mind. This film gave me the opportunity to play such a challenging character of a blind man. I used to go to many blind schools, watch plenty of videos just to understand a blind person’s perspective. It was difficult but quite thrilling. I was also a great experience in working with Satyajit Das. I never felt that we are working together for the first time or both making our debuts,” explained the actor who hails from North Bengal.

The young actor further added why the audience will be able to relate to the story: “This film shows the complexities of our relationships, especially the bonding between a mother and son. Plus the blind painter deals with two contrasting situations, at a time when he struggles to adjust with the surrounds, he is a master while working on the canvas. I believe people will love the story.”

The cast also includes

Sayanti Chattoraj

,

Surojit Chowdhury

and others in pivotal roles.
