Ena Saha now wants to create more content-rich films

The response ‘SOS Kolkata’ received from the audience after its Puja release has made Ena Saha super excited and why not! The Anshuman Pratyush directorial is his first venture as producer. She is also playing a key role in the film which also stars Mimi Chakraborty, Nusrat Jahan and Yas Dasgupta in the lead.
“My character’s name is Angel. She is a front desk manager who is quite bubbly, sweet and highly professional but then you would get to see many shades in her character as the story progresses.The film deals with a suspected terrorist attack and the story focuses on how the army, police and the common people join hands to save lives and stand against the evils of the society. We get to learn and unlearn so many things around us with this film,” Ena shares with ETimes during an exclusive chat.
The young actress also reveals she always had a dream to start her own production house. “I always wished for it. During lockdown there was enough free time and I started thinking about it more seriously. I felt it’s the ideal time for my dream to come true. I discussed with my family members, and those who can help me out in taking a final call. Then I got in touch with Anshuman da. He came up with this amazing story and I just loved it,” added Ena who now wants to produce all kind of films with good content.
‘SOS Kolkata’, produced by Jarek Entertainment (Ena’s production house) and Pratyush Production, was the first Bengali film to start shooting post-lockdown. The story is about a suspected terrorist attack, where Yash and Nusrat play anti-terrorism officers. Mimi plays Yash’s wife. Producer Ena Saha plays a bubbly girl, Angel. As the story progresses, her brave personality is revealed to the audiences.
