Ekavali Khanna making her presence felt in Bollywood with an eclectic range of roles
An actor by chance, since her debut in 2014 with Chandra Prakash Dwivedi’s ‘Zed Plus’, Ekavali Khanna has appeared in a wide range of films such as Nila Madhab Panda’s ‘Kaun Kitne Paani Mein’, Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Daas Dev’, ‘Bollywood Diaries’, ‘Bioscopewala’, ‘Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain’, ‘Dear Dad’ and ‘Veere Di Wedding’.
She has had the opportunity to work with some renowned actors across India for quite some time now and the versatile actor is happy to have shared screen space as well as known them from close quarters.
"One of the best parts of my journey as an actor has been that I have been truly fortunate to work with some of the finest talents in the country. And summing up these stalwarts in a few words is fun and challenging because I have so much to say about all of them," the actress shared with ETimes during an exclusive chat.
Her overseas work and also an award-winning film was with Adil Hussain. "He is extremely devoted to his craft and practices is it religiously, which has made him such a master. I have a similar observation about one of my other co-actors, the dapper Ronit Roy. He has great self-discipline and he takes his work very seriously," Ekavali said.
The actress has also shared screen scape with Arvind Swami, Sanjay Mishra and Pankaj Tripathi, whom she has a lot of respect for. "Arvind is very knowledgeable about the medium and extremely professional, which is admirable. Sanjay ji is incredibly spontaneous and Pankaj ji never makes a fuss about anything and accomplishes more than expected with a smile. We all have something or the other to learn from them," she said.
Her female co-actors have been names to reckon with in Bollywood. When asked how does she remember Kareena Kapoor Khan and Pooja Bhatt, Ekavali said, "Pooja is very magnanimous and unpretentious and that's a quality that sparkles on set. Kareena is always prepared and gives her best every single time."
