Ekavali Khanna is back from Goa to celebrate b'day with her sons
Birthdays bring a lot of cheer for most of us. Though some like to keep the celebrations simple, it's the overwhelming sense of feeling loved that dominates the day. Actress Ekavali Khanna, who is back in Kolkata, to celebrate the day with her two sons, is happy to receive such a barrage of birthday messages.
"I have been shooting in Goa for some time now. It's a beautiful feeling to be able to work in Goa since my mother was a Goan.

I came back yesterday because I had a date with my boys. It's the little things your children do for you that counts. I felt really special that they treated me to my favourite kebabs and awadhi cuisine at lunch yesterday. They spent whatever money they have for the lunch at the restaurant, and I can't imagine how they have grown up," smiled Ekavali.

The actress, a self-confessed foodie, has some plans for today but at home. "I am such a homebody that I find staying at home the most relaxing. Today, I will be cooking Goan prawn curry. I got the spices from my sister in Goa. I prefer cooking to eating out but when it comes to food, I like Chinese too," Ekavali said.
She thinks birthdays are special because who wouldn't like to feel reassured and loved by all. "I have been receiving lots of messages since morning. The use of social media has made people more expressive than before. It feels good to be loved. Birthdays are also about growing up and maturity. I don't like accepting gifts but what really makes me joyous is life experiences and people whom I value the most. It's experiences through hard work that make life fulfilling," Ekavali shared.
