Nabarun Sen announced his film, Dwikhandito, there were rumours that it was based on Bangladeshi author
Taslima Nasrin’s controversial novel by the same name. The novel was once banned in
Bengal
too for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Muslim community.
But a unit member clarified: “It’s an original story written by Nabarun and has nothing to do with the author’s famous novel. The film is about a patient suffering from dissociative identity crisis and a doctor. Can the doctor cure him is what the story is all about.” The film stars
