Dutt's called luck!

Screen baddie Prasun lands a meaty role in Anjan Dutt's 9 Miles. Though he plays a terrorist, there's a softer side to him as well.
Dutt's called luck!
Soham bashed him up black and blue in Amanush. Screen baddies often meet with a similar fate, but Prasun is not one to relent. He now wants his share of the pie.
And much to his liking, he will be seen playing a meaty role in Anjan Dutt's next, 9 Miles. Back in the city after shooting in North Bengal, the actor says, 'A few days back, Rudra (Rudranil Ghosh) called me up to say that Kaushik Ganguly was doing a telefilm and that he was interested in casting me.

I did Kaushikda's Jai Jagannath and he, in turn, recommended my name to Anjanda.'
The story of 9 Miles revolves around Dr Arun Bose (played by Anjan Dutt himself!), his better half, Asha (Churni Ganguly) and a terrorist Kabir Mustafi (Prasun). Once Asha is diagnosed with cancer, her cancer specialist husband, Arun, takes her to the same place (North Bengal) where they had once gone for their honeymoon. Arun loves his wife so much that he can't see her dying gradually. He plans to kill her with an overdose of medicince during their stay at the place. But a twist in the tale comes in the form of Kabir Mustafi. 'He is a terrorist, but there's a softer side to him. He loves to sing and suffers from bouts of eccentricity. He also has his reasons for becoming a terrorist,' says Prasun. Ask him how it was working with Dutt and he's quick to reply, 'The story is by Anjanda and he has penned my character brilliantly. He is an amazing person to work with. I had heard stories of him throwing tantrums on the sets. But those are just stories. He is a workaholic. He gives freedom and space to his actors.'
Talk about the shooting experience and Prasun has a spooky tale to share. 'We shot at a place called Jor Pokhri and were staying at a bungalow there. It was built in place of a bhoot bangla. One night, we woke up with loud thuds on our glass window and some even saw a silhouette strolling around. We also shot at a graveyard and everytime we were there, it would rain. The same thing continued till we offered flowers, fruits and prayers in the graveyard. It's hard to believe, but it was sunny the following day. The entire experience was so eerie!' exclaims the actor, who is currently shooting for Sujit Mondal's untitled venture starring Dev and Srabanti. 'I play Dev's friend in the film,' explains Prasun.
