Saptaswa Basu’s much anticipated film ‘Doctor Bakshi’ is here and it’s every bit intriguing. Billed as an intense thriller, the film highlights the dark world of medical scams. It stars

Bonny Sengupta and others in key roles.
The film, which highlights a set of medical scams, revolves around a charming doctor (Parambrata) who takes up his own path of justice, a writer (Subhashree) who is caught in a web of mystery and a criminal (Bonny) recently out of jail. Going by the fast-paced trailer, it looks like a feel of illusion and trap in every scene which will surely make the audience wait for the film.
The glimpses from the short clip also give the audience a feel that this film is made for a big-screen experience. Interestingly, ‘Doctor Bakshi’ is Saptaswa’s previous film ‘Pratidwandi’s spin-off promising more thrill and mystery.
As per the narrative, Dr.Bakshi’s fight against medical scams inspired and helped many. However, the path he chose didn’t look ethical. Speaking about the titular character of Doctor Bakshi, the director had earlier said that this character in ‘Pratidwandi’ represented a brand who serves justice in his own way exposing medical scams.
For the unversed, the thriller was supposed to release on November 4 but later the makers postponed the release. The new release date hasn’t yet been announced but it’s expected to hit the big screens in January next year.
