Aryann Bhowmick, a football fanatic, was over the moon when he got the offer to play footballer Neville D'Souza in Amit Sharma’s Maidaan. But the news of Chuni Goswami’s death came as a shock to him.
“In the film, which is about the golden era of Indian football (1952-62), I play Neville D’Souza, Chuni Goswami’s teammate. I had met him as a kid and he had a great aura around him at that time.When I was shooting for Maidaan, I thought of meeting him. But I was shooting for two films back-to-back, so I couldn’t. I will always regret that,” said the actor.
