Director
Atanu Ghosh, along with
Raja Sen and
Jagannath Guha, spoke about the touchy topic of censorship. “We filmmakers face a strange situation when it comes to censorship. Often a film is given an A certification. Director
Anindya Banerjee, whose film, Smug, will premiere at KIFF, was present on the first day of the festival. “I had sent it for competition, but the jury said there were a few issues with its execution. I have no complaints,” he said.
