Director Suman Ghosh tests Covid positive after taking booster shot

Suman Ghosh tested positive for Covid on Thursday. On Friday, the director took to social media and wrote, “I have tested positive…but the reason I am publicizing it is because I was triple vaccinated (took the booster a month back in the US) and after coming to Kolkata I had it. Its not asymptomatic for sure… Lets see the trajectory. Just another data point for our scientists.My daughters (8 and 6 years) also have it after double vaccination. The symptoms are mild. But they are dancing saying…We are dead…We are dead…Ki ar bolbo. (sic)
The director, who has isolated himself along with his two daughters, said, “My elder daughter showed signs of mild fever while the younger one had a stomach infection. They underwent the test and both tested positive. While I am COVID positive, my wife has tested negative. We came to India from the US with the hope that we will have a nice time with family and friends but now, this has happened. I am reading books and watching films now, but my daughters are getting bored.” He added, “I was stunned to see the crowd on Christmas and Christmas Eve. Are these people for real? Roaming around without masks and it seemed like they were oblivion to the word ‘coronaviruses’. People are under the impression that the symptoms of Omicron are milder, and I don’t know where from they are getting so much courage! The word social distancing seems to be missing from their dictionary.”
Suman is all set to direct his Hindi film in 2022. “I can’t reveal anything about the film now but yes, I am directing one,” said Suman.
