Director Jiit Chakraborty plans next film

Despite being just one-film-old, director Jiit Chakraborty seems to have no dearth of confidence. After his debut directorial, Shesher Golpo, which released recently, Jiit has already started working on his next film. Though he didn’t reveal much about the upcoming project, the filmmaker has assured that there are quite a few projects he is working on currently and he will talk about them when the right time comes.

Talking about his first film, Jiit said that even though the script of the film has been written by two writers, who go by the name ‘Other Bypari’, the concept is his own. The film takes forward the story of Rabindranath Tagore’s novel, Shesher Kobita. The iconic central characters of the novel -- Amit Ray and Labanya Dutta -- happen to meet again in their twilight years at an old-age home. Will there be happy reminiscing of old times or are there some hidden grievances to share? “The concept has been loved by a lot of people and they said that they would love to work on such a story in future too,” said Jit.

Music director-singer Joy Sarkar has composed the film’s music. "There are four songs in the film, one of which is sung by Somlata Acharya and one by Anupam Roy. I am really happy to be a part of the film and hopeful that people would like the film," said Joy.
