Haranath Chakraborty tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to a private hospital with a high fever, severe headache and tiredness. However, he hasn’t lost taste but can’t smell anything right now and oxygen level in his body is still okay.
Incidentally, the veteran filmmaker along with his two friends
Prabhat Roy and
Sujit Guha took the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the last week of April. Haranath had taken the first dose in March end.
On the work front, he was working on his next film which is a comedy and will star
Ranjit Mallick in the lead.
