Director Avijit Sen talks about getting Soumitrisha Kundu on-board his next project

Avijit Sen will start shooting for his next film titled Pradhan from August. The film stars Dev, Paran Bandopadhyay, and Soumitrisha Kundu in the lead. Soumitrisha used to play the lead role in the serial, Mithai which will soon go off air. This will be Avijit’s third film with Dev after the success of Tonic and Projapoti. “Pradhan will be a family drama where we will deal with different kinds of relationships. The audience will be able to relate to the film as we come across such relationships in a family daily. We will show the complexities and dynamics of different relationships in this film,” said Avijit. He added, “We always try to give chances to new faces. Like we took Sweta Bhattacharya on board in Projapoti. So, this time Soumitrisha has been roped in for Pradhan. She is a good actress and she proved that in the serial, Mithai. That apart she also approached us that she wants to do a film. We then realized that she would do justice to the character she will be playing in this film.”
