In a recent turn of events, Sayantika Banerjee abruptly left Dhaka, Bangladesh, where she was filming a portion of her upcoming film ‘Chayabaz’ with Bangladeshi star Zayed Khan. The actress returned to Kolkata without finishing the entire shoot, stirring various speculations in the media. In a recent interview, Sayantika also pointed fingers at the film's producer as the reason for her departure, rather than blaming choreographer Michael Babu.
Zayed Khan, who is playing the male lead in the film, became part of the buzz not just for his role but also due to rumors about spending time with Sayantika in hotel rooms alone. Zayed, however, has refuted these claims as intentional misconceptions aimed to malign him. He asserted that Sayantika never expressed any grievances against Michael Babu. She had returned to Kolkata after completing her work, and any rumors suggesting otherwise were baseless. Zayed also emphasized that people were exploiting the situation to sully his reputation unfairly.
Choreographer Michael Babu also had his say in the matter. He mentioned that he had a cordial relationship with Sayantika, who even affectionately addressed him as ‘Dadabhai’. They had successfully wrapped up the shoot of the first song, but issues arose during the second song's shoot. Michael claimed that despite providing ample time for costume changes and a lunch break, both Zayed and Sayantika arrived late, causing them to lose crucial daylight. This resulted in the producer berating him.
Furthermore, Michael recounted an incident where Sayantika questioned why he was holding her hand during the shoot without asking for permission. He justified his actions as a routine part of the choreography process but stated that Sayantika seemed uninterested in continuing the work afterward.

Zayed Khan laid the responsibility for this mishap on the producer. According to him, delays primarily stemmed from issues related to costumes. He said that they needed specific leather dresses that had not been provided, even though all requirements were clearly communicated to the producer beforehand. Zayed also pointed out that Sayantika works on a day-to-day basis and expected her payment during the break, which wasn't provided, intensifying the delay. He denounced a group of people who, according to him, were making derogatory comments about his character to distract from the real issues at hand.
