While his next film ‘Karnasubarner Guptodhon’ is gearing up for its mega theatrical release during Puja director Dhrubo Banerjee has another exciting news to share with all. After ‘Tiktiki’, the hitmaker is back with yet another interesting project. According to him, his next ‘Professor Bhootnath’ is a story that has adventure, comedy and ghosts galore! Sounds exciting right?
“This is a story I have always wanted to tell. The plot revolves around Professor Bhootnath and his gang of 4 oddballs who go on a quest to fight these irregular ghosts. This will surely entertain all kinds of audience. I am eagerly waiting to show everyone the quirky and funny elements in our story,” Drubo shared with ETimes.
He further insists that we mostly attach ghosts with horror or something negative, but for me, it’s not that simple to tag all the negative elements with ghosts. Professor Bhootnath is here to change the notion. “This is a story that’s funny and engaging at the same time. What’s interesting is the professor character will have its appeals among the kids and adults as well. Let’s change the idea of a ghostly narrative and deliver complete entertainment in a way that makes supernatural light-hearted and engaging at the same time,” explained the director.
Meanwhile, Dhrubo is all geared up for his next release ‘Karnasubarner Guptodhon’. “This is the third film in the Guptodhon franchise and I will urge the audience to show their love and appreciation once again! This franchise will always remain close to my heart. My journey in mainstream Bengali films started with Guptodhoner Shondhane. And both Guptodhoner Shondhane and Durgeshgorer Guptodhon received so much love from the audience. ‘Karnasubarner Guptodhon’ is larger in scale and will unearth one of the greatest treasures of Bengal’s history, a treasure that we have only heard in stories. With history and thrill joining hands, this one will again be a complete entertainer,” shared Dhrubo Banerjee.
