Dev, Subhashree, Rahul, Priyanka team up for a comedy

Rangan Chakraborty���s next is a modern-day folklore titled ���Half-gaan-i-staan��� based on the camaraderie of the iconic characters, Goopy Gyne and Bagha Byne, created by Satyajit Ray. Dev, Subhashree, Rahul and Priyanka play the leads in this comedy.
A source close to the unit informed, ���The film has nothing to do with Ray���s classic. It is a modern-day take on Goopy-Bagha.The film is about Goopy (Dev), who wants to become a singer, and Bagha (Rahul), who wants to be a drummer. They accidentally land up in a place called Half-gaan-i-staan, where music is banned. How they bring back music there is what the film is all about. Subhashree and Priyanka play two sisters who fall in love with Goopy and Bagha respectively.���
Though Rahul admitted that he has been approached for the film, repeated calls to the director remained unanswered. Both Priyanka and Subhashree remained unavailable for comment.
Shooting begins in August; parts of the film will be shot in Ladakh.
